Economic indicators enable us to monitor economic activity in the Principality.
Based on monthly surveys of businesses, two barometers measure the business climate and provide an overview of the economic situation and its prospects:

  • The Retail trade barometer since January 2014
  • The Manufacturing industry and craft barometer since January 2023

Retail trade barometer

The Retail Trade Barometer measures changes in the business climate in the retail trade and in the automotive trade and repair sector.

According to the retailers surveyed, the business climate rises in December 2025 in the retail trade and in the automotive trade and repair sector.

Manufacturing industry and craft barometer

The Manufacturing industry and craft barometer tracks changes in the business climate in the manufacturing industry and craft sector.

According to the business leaders surveyed, the business climate stabilises and remains well above average in December 2025 in the manufacturing industry and craft sector.
