This sector encompasses the extraction, exploitation and transformation into new products, including through artisanal methods, of materials, substances, components or natural plant and animal resources. It also encompasses the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water, as well as sanitation, waste management and decontamination (NAF Divisions 01 to 39).
